“Spending my time here has also made me think about my everyday life and my own personal wellness. Becca and Eddie are always looking for the next way to keep Windthrow climate friendly and themselves healthy. Seeing their everyday lives has made me think about my daily routines, such as stretching every morning when I wake up. Long work days for anyone, whether it’s sitting in front of a computer all day or sanding away at a piece of wood, can put so much strain on your body. I’ve always had some minor neck and back stiffness issues, and my daily stretches have really helped me out!
I’ve also started rethinking my eating habits since moving out here. From the plethora of vegan/vegetarian options in Asheville to smoothies and sandwiches at work, my eyes have opened to how easy it really is to eat and stay healthy. I’ve learned so much more than I thought I wood (pun intended). I’ve met wonderful people and gotten to experience the beauties of Asheville and most of all, Windthrow. This has been my first real life work experience getting into the Art/Creative field, and it’s opened so many doors for my future, making me a little bit more confused, but ready all the more for what life brings me. I’m very thankful I’ve been given the opportunity to not just work with Windthrow, but also enjoy time in Asheville. I can’t thank the Windthrow team enough for making me feel at home here!”
