Incorporating Your Ketubah into Your Wedding
No matter your faith, having a ketubah is a beautiful way to commemorate your special day!
Why Have One: To honor you as a couple; your journey and commitment to one another. A ketubah or wedding vow art focuses on the promise to one another and your hopes for the future. After the wedding day, you get to hang it in your home as a reminder each day of your love.
When and Where to Display: Display it at the ceremony or reception (or both). If you are having a huppah (wedding canopy) you may present the ketubah on an easel next to the huppah for guests to view during the ceremony.
How to Display: Most venues have an easel, you just need to ask in advance. Also, a frame can be very helpful for displaying. Find out more about framing.
If You are Signing: Make sure you have picked a time and have a good pen (we provide a pen with our ketubah designs). Talk to your officiant and anyone signing the ketubah. Make sure they are comfortable signing and know when in the day to sign. Often the signing takes place just before or just after the ceremony and is a small, intimate part of the day. Work this into your schedule so you have the right people present (parents, grandparents, photographer, witnesses, officiant, etc.) Remember to tell the wedding venue about the space you need.
Pick Where to Hang It: We love seeing the placement couples choose in their home. Tag us on social media @windthrowcreative on Facebook and Instagram or email us a photo once your ketubah is hung.
Incorporate Your Ketubah Design Into Your Wedding: Add it to invitations, table place cards, thank you cards, the huppah - anything! Use your wedding colors in the design to help tie each part of your special day together.
