It is quite fun to add gold leaf flowers to this piece. The paint and paper have a matte finish, and the shiny gold leaf adds a dynamic component; the shine changes depending on the angle. To add the gold leaf, I first paint on the glue in the shape of flowers, then place pieces of gold leaf on top of the glue. Once dry, I lightly brush off the excess and blow it off the paper - resulting in a golden tornado. This design is available for purchase in our ketubah shop.
