Neshama Shabbat Candlesticks

Order the Neshama Candlesticks

Designing this new addition to our Judaica collection has been such a treat

These candlestick holders are stable due to the added weight (brass) at the bottom of the design. This piece is a combination of brass and walnut, a style we use in other areas of our collection. The hour glass shape reveals organic curves and subtle reflections that bring this pair of candlestick holders to life. Take note, these are not the same candlestick holders duplicated. When placed next to one another, the brass at the base creates a continuous line upwards across both pieces. My first draft was created with a blow torch, anvil, and hammer. My idea was to heat up the brass enough so when struck, the bottom would mushroom out… after some trial (and error), I found that grinding away material had the same effect. Pounding away on hot brass did result in beautiful effects (fracturing), that I hope to incorporate at a later date.
