Miniature Shabbat
The tiny bread carving and Challah Board I carved from wood.
I’ve never made a challah before, but I’m glad my first was out of wood. I figured a loaf of bread may look quite realistic carved from wood, and grabbing my sloyd knife and a chunk of oak, I set off to weave the dough from one solid piece. Once the whole grain loaf was finished, I continued with the set. The Challah board is an exact replica, 1/6th the size of our actual product, made of walnut and oak.
