Elephant Nursery Artwork
My first draft (seen below) for this nursery artwork was entirely black and white.
However, we landed on a design with a warmer overall tone (seen at top of page). Using charcoal and conté, the elephant is illustrated using only black and white, but, on the beige background the elephant feels softer and more nurturing. The illustration surrounds the child’s name, as if to protect him or her from harm. This framed artwork is great for any shelf or wall in a newborn’s bedroom.
